Case Handling
Automated movement of cartons and totes.
Case and tote movement is the connective tissue of a distribution center, and it is usually the least examined. Automating it removes the manual lifting, the queue at the pack bench, and the congestion that builds whenever one area runs faster than the one it feeds.
How it works
Powered conveyor and transfer modules move cartons and totes between receiving, storage, pick stations, pack, and outbound. Flow is synchronized by the control layer so that downstream stations are fed at the rate they can absorb, rather than being buried.
Where it fits
Case-pick operations, store replenishment, cross-dock flows, and any facility where operators currently move product between zones on carts or pallet jacks.
