Sorter System

Camera-assisted parcel sortation with full traceability.

The Inlog cargo sorter reads each parcel with camera-assisted barcode scanning and routes it to the correct output lane under real-time control. Parcel, routing, and carrier data are exchanged with WMS and ERP through a bidirectional API, and every parcel's path through the system is recorded.

System components

  • Vision & Scanning

Camera-assisted barcode reading at line speed.

  • Routing Engine

Lane assignment by carrier, route, store, or order.

  • SCADA Monitoring

Conveyors, sensors, motors, PLC links, and E-stop status.

  • Energy Module

Active and reactive power tracking with exportable reports.

Accuracy

Intelligent routing combined with camera-based reading and WMS/ERP integration directs parcels to the correct output without manual label inspection. Misroutes fall, and with them the return handling and claim costs they generate.

Traceability

Barcode data, timestamps, routing output, and archived photos are recorded for every parcel. When a shipment is disputed, the record shows what entered the system, where it went, and when.

Performance reporting

Throughput is reported by minute, hour, day, month, and year. Peak periods, slow periods, and bottlenecks become visible, which is what makes staffing and capacity planning something other than guesswork.

Reliability

Conveyors, sensors, motors, and safety components are monitored continuously. Faults, E-stop signals, camera connection state, and PLC communication surface to the operator immediately, so maintenance responds before a stoppage compounds.

Energy

An integrated module tracks active and reactive consumption in real time. Optimized motor drivers, synchronized conveyor control, and low-friction mechanical design reduce operating cost; reports export for auditing and sustainability reporting.

What does the sorter system offer you?

  • Increased Efficiency

Camera-assisted barcode reading, real-time control software, and high-speed conveyor flow accelerate parcel separation compared with manual methods. The increase in speed and accuracy allows more orders to be processed simultaneously, while reduced manual handling frees the workforce for higher-value tasks.

  • Improved Sorting Accuracy

Intelligent routing algorithms, camera-based barcode scanning, and WMS/ERP API integrations ensure parcels are directed to the correct output every time. This minimizes misroutes, reduces returns, and improves customer satisfaction.

  • Enhanced Traceability & Visibility

Every parcel processed through the sorter is recorded in detail — including barcode data, time stamps, routing output, and photo archiving. Real-time dashboards and SCADA monitoring provide full operational visibility from any screen.

  • Streamlined Workflow

By automating repetitive sorting tasks, your workforce can focus on value-added operations. The sorter optimizes overall workflow, reduces congestion, and keeps your fulfillment processes running smoothly at all times.

  • Enhanced Operational Safety

With SCADA-based monitoring, emergency stop controls, PLC-level fault detection, and automatic error logging, sorter systems enhance workplace safety and reduce the risk of manual handling incidents.

  • Energy Efficiency & Cost Reduction

The integrated energy monitoring module reports real-time power usage and long-term consumption trends. Optimized motor control and synchronized conveyor operation help reduce electricity costs while maintaining consistent performance.

  • Scalability and Flexibility

Sorter layouts can be tailored to operational needs — from small facilities to high-volume fulfillment centers. Modular conveyor structures, customizable exit points, and flexible software settings allow the system to grow with your business.
