Goods-to-Person Automation

Increase picker productivity while reducing travel.

In a conventional pick module, most of an operator's shift is spent walking. Goods-to-person automation inverts that: inventory is delivered to a fixed, ergonomic station, and the operator does nothing but pick. The same headcount handles substantially more lines, and new hires reach full productivity in a shift rather than a month.

How it works

Shuttles retrieve totes from the storage grid and hand them to a lift, which sequences them onto the station conveyor in pick order. The station displays the item, quantity, and destination. When the pick is confirmed, the tote returns to storage and the next one is already staged.

Where it fits

Split-case picking, each-picking for e-commerce, kitting, store replenishment, and returns processing. It is most effective where SKU counts are high, order profiles are small, and labor is the binding constraint on throughput.
